Bad Dürrenberg spa gardens
There's salt in the air here
Many roads lead to Bad Dürrenberg, from Halle even on one of the longest tram lines in the world. Once you arrive in the state-recognised health resort, you can not only breathe in over 8,000 years of history, but also very healthy air: you can enjoy a sea-like microclimate all around the graduation house of the brine town, which at 636 m long is the longest continuous salt extraction facility in Germany. The impressive structure is located in Bad Dürrenberg's spa gardens, which attract visitors of all ages with their well-tended flowerbeds, extensive lawns, a palm and bird house, deer enclosure and playground.
