Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle

With over 1000 students, the  University of Art and Design Halle is one of the largest art colleges in Germany. Those who study "at the castle" attend a university steeped in tradition that enjoys an excellent international reputation. Historic walls provide the framework for visionary thinking and design in the two faculties, Design and Art. The design campus at Neuwerk forms the centre, including the teaching buildings and workshops, while the art students' studios are located on the campus in the lower castle of Giebichenstein Castle. Exhibitions and installations that enrich the entire city are created from both locations.
