Car park at Amselgrund

Directly on the Saale in an idyllic location at Amselgrund, there are several parking areas that offer opportunities for a short stopover. These are suitable for motorhomes, but do not have any facilities (electricity etc.). Please note that the rules of the German Road Traffic Regulations (StVO) apply.

The promenade along the Saale invites you to watch the river bustle on the opposite bank of the Rive. Behind it rises a broad rocky network with porphyry slopes and gorge forests, the legendary "Brüderhöhle" (Brothers' Cave) and the three Kreuzer Ponds. Once you have hiked to the top, you reach the most beautiful vantage points all around. You reward the climb with an iconic city view.
