News
Interview Günther Adler:
Would you like to briefly introduce yourself?
With pleasure. My name is Günther, I am 74 years old, a widower and now retired. I myself spent 50 eventful years in Asia and Africa and appreciate the local nature. Languages have always fascinated me, which is why I speak a few: English, Spanish, Arabic and of course German.
What is your favourite way to go on holiday?
I don't really go on holiday in the traditional sense. For me, travelling is not a holiday. I've lived in different countries for many years, not just spent a few weeks somewhere. That has shaped my view of the world. One destination that I have grown particularly fond of is Goa in India. If I may give you a tip: socialise with the locals. Sit in a local café, go where the local people go. That's where you experience real life.
What motivated you to take part in the "Camping in Halle" project?
Quite simply: the contact with people. I like living alone, but I don't want to be lonely. That makes a difference. I live here in seclusion, enjoy the peace and quiet - but the exchange with others, the brief conversation in the morning, a smile, that's like fresh air for me.
