Georg Mann "Little Calmer"
A sculpture you can touch
"Peace to you, haste to me, let's swap for a while" - these words can be read on the Little Calmer. The rotating sculpture shows three different faces. If you set it in motion, you will be mesmerised by the back and forth movements that resemble restlessness. The sculpture is embedded in the remains of the city wall on the west side of the Moritzkirche. It was designed by Georg Mann, born in 1976 in Vogtland, who now works as a freelance artist and workshop manager for ceramics at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design in Halle.
