Schwebendes Glitzerschwein
Many centuries ago, salt was discovered by a glittering pig. Here, the glittering pig now floats outside of space and time in the large atrium of the tax office, at the historical location where the event took place. This sculpture closes a gap in the city's art and cultural history. In addition to the historical facts, the animal itself is attributed many positive characteristics and, like the tax office, has to do with money - for example, the lucky pig or piggy bank, but other associations are also possible. The polygonal glittering pig was designed by Marc Fromm, is 420x170x120cm and consists of 562 prisms made of stainless steel and several sparkling glass crystals.
