Halle State Orchestra
Immerse yourself in an extensive concert repertoire from the Baroque to the present day
One of the five sections of Halle, a city rich in tradition and culture, is the Staatskapelle Halle, which was founded as a merger of the Philharmonic State Orchestra and the Halle Opera House Orchestra. Together, the Halle stages offer a theatre and concert programme of a high artistic standard. The Staatskapelle Halle presents its audiences with concert repertoire and music theatre literature from the Baroque to the present day and regularly performs at home and abroad. In addition to its extensive concert activities and varied opera programme, the Staatskapelle is also involved in a wide range of music education activities for families and schoolchildren and supports the Saxony-Anhalt Youth Symphony Orchestra.
