Naumburg Cathedral of St Peter and Paul
The immortalisation of the most beautiful woman of the Middle Ages
Dating back to the 13th century, the Romanesque-Gothic Naumburg Cathedral is a real treasure. It is located on the Romanesque Route, which has been linking such buildings since 1993. The cathedral has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2018. In addition to a double choir and unique chapels, you can also admire the preserved rood screen and twelve donors in the west choir. Among the donors is the famous Margravine Uta, who is described as the "most beautiful woman of the Middle Ages". In the "KinderDomBauhütte", families can get creative themselves and try their hand at being a glass artist, stonemason or architect.
