Swimming and sport embedded in the porphyry landscape of the Klausberge mountains
The Nordbad, built in 1954, is located in the scenic Saale valley, nestled in the porphyry cliffs of the Klausberge. Not only because of its particularly beautiful location has it become a centre of attraction for bathers and sun-seekers, it also offers ideal conditions for sporting activities (volleyball, table tennis, soccer field). In addition to a 25 metre and a 50 metre swimming pool, there is also a ten metre diving platform, a non-swimmers' pool and two beach volleyball courts. The pool is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs. Visitors can also enjoy a snack bar with hot and cold food and drinks. There is a paddling pool, water playground and swings for the little ones.
