Rudolf Hilscher "Gymnastic Children" 1984

The sculpture group "Turnende Kinder" by Rudolf Hilscher originally stood in front of a school gymnasium on the footpath connecting residential complex I and residential complex V. Similar to the group sculpture "Three Ball Players", Rudolf Hilscher once again created a sporting action, here two children jumping. As part of the remodelling of the Neustädter Passage, the sculpture group was given its current location in 2006. Rudolf Hilscher studied sculpture under Gustav Weidanz at the Institute for Artistic Design in Halle - Burg Giebichenstein from 1946-1952.
