Arrival
Thanks to the excellent transport connections, you can reach the beautiful city on the Saale in just a few hours from every corner of Germany.
Halle (Saale) - in the heart of central Germany - is conveniently located at the freeway junction between the A9, A14 and A38. The intercontinental airport Leipzig/Halle is only about 18 kilometres away from the city center and can be easily reached by regular suburban train services. The main train station, which is a 10-minute walk from the market square, also has ICE train connections. The new Halle-Leipzig suburban train, which takes only 25 minutes, also provides a very convenient connection to the trade fair city of Leipzig. In 2:45 hours from Halle to Munich, six times a day and all the way to Vienna: since December 2018, Halle has had a permanent international connection from Halle (Saale) to Vienna (via Berlin and Munich) in addition to a nationwide connection.
