In a limited edition of 500 pieces, friends of the small clamp building bricks can now recreate Halle's market church "Unser lieben Frauen" at home. The 294 pieces make up a church model (18 cm long and high, 13 cm wide) of the striking Halle landmark. Sandstone-coloured octagonal bricks were produced especially for the market church set to replicate the two Hausmann towers and the two blue towers. The other colours of the bricks are grey and black. The Halle building block set is compatible with other manufacturers such as LEGO®. This means that further buildings can be built around the Halle market church to create an imaginative city.
The market church set with clamping bricks is available at Halle's tourist information centre, in the online shop and in the market church "Unser lieben Frauen". The church can currently only be ordered as a kit online.
Market church fans will miss the small bridge between the two Hausmann towers. This delicate component could not be produced for technical reasons. Instead, the mini market church reveals a small secret hiding place when the two-part church roof is opened. There are no limits to creative and clever ideas for creating alternative bridge ideas with other clamping components.
Joe M. Bonét from Halle designed the market church set made of clamping bricks in cooperation with Stadtmarketing Halle (Saale) GmbH. After living in South Africa, Italy and Great Britain, the Candian-born artist studied art history at Martin Luther University and in Halle (Saale).
Here he followed in the footsteps of the bustling master builder Nickel Hoffmann and his special buildings, such as the market church completed in the 16th century, the Stadtgottesacker or the Moritzkirche in Halle.
Joe M. Bonét runs his own online shop for building bricks www.brick-shop.de.
