The Handel Festival was first held in 1922 as the ‘Halle Handel Festival’ and continues to enjoy great popularity more than 100 years later. Every year, around 50,000 people attend the festival, which is considered the largest and oldest music festival in Saxony-Anhalt. In 2025, visitors can expect 66 events at authentic Handel locations, such as the Georg Friedrich Handel Hall, the Handel House, or the market square near the Handel monument.
