Until Saturday, 2 March 2024, the Zoo of Halle will be telling the stories and legends of "One Thousand and One Nights" with more than 50 spectacular light ensembles and 300 light figures, some of which are interactive, on the five-hectare zoo grounds around the Reilsberg. Over 50,000 guests have already visited the Worlds of Light 2024. The two-kilometre circular route with 300 fabulous lantern-lit figures is illuminated with 15,000 lamps.
A 13 metre high oriental palace is already an eye-catcher at the zoo entrance and invites guests into the world of "1001 Nights" with seafarer Sinbad, Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves, Aladdin and the genie from the bottle and many mythical stories. The ornate light installations made of silk and metal are handcrafted over many months according to the centuries-old tradition of Chinese lantern art.
Germany's only Zoo of Halle has been hosting the "Magical Worlds of Light" for the fifth time since 2018. So far, the Zoo of Halle has welcomed half a million guests to Germany's largest light show.
The best way to secure tickets in advance is online or by visiting Halle's tourist information centre.
