If you think there's nothing going on in Halle in November, you're wrong! Autumn is just around the corner with lots of events in Halle and we've put together our top 11 for you.
- 3.11.-5.11.2023:19th Halle Festival of Lights - You can look forward to a colourful market, the crowning of the fairy of lights on 3.11.23 and a big children's lantern parade on 4.11.23 starting at the train station. Speaking of the train station: it will be particularly colourful for the Festival of Lights. From 3.11.23, the "Station of the Year 2023" with the 133-year-old building will be effectively illuminated and staged. Be sure to stop by! In addition, the City-Gemeinschaft Halle e.V. and the Lions Club-Halle August Hermann Frankeaus will create a large performance with the planetarium logo and many stars from thousands of tea lights on the west side of the market square on 5.11.23. There will also be a laser show and fireworks again this year.

With new allies and well-known qualities, Würfelpech e.V. presents Halle's pen & paper role-playing game convention this year under the motto "Con to the Dark Side".From fantasy and space adventures to thrillers, sinister machinations and wacky villains, a variety of stories can be experienced and played together.

- since 22.10.2023 and until 14.01.2024: Special exhibition Animals! From lamblike to ferocious - the Moritzburg Art Museum Halle (Saale) delves into its own collections and shows how artists have dedicated themselves to the animal world for centuries.
- 9.11.-10.12.2023: The GiebichenStein Design Prize exhibition at the Kunststiftung des Landes Sachsen-Anhalt showcases nominated and award-winning works by students from the Department of Design at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle, providing a fascinating insight into the latest design concepts, innovative materials and experimental projects.
- Until 12 November 2023: Do You Dream At All? - Works of art and design from the BURG can be experienced free of charge in the Burg Galerie Volkspark. The exhibition deals with the enigmatic phenomenon of "dream", which inspires multiple interpretations.
- Until 12 November 2023: City views along the Saale by Fritz Möller await you at the Saline Museum . The focus here is on a walk from Böllberg to Trotha.
- 19.11.-25.11.2023: Film Music Days, incl. Silent Film Music Days 2023 - In 2023, the motto of the Saxony-Anhalt Film Music Days is "BEGEGNUNGEN" and a magical programme awaits you again this year.
- Until 28.11.2023:Literature in Volkspark - This year, Literatur im Volkspark is once again inviting exceptional authors to Volkspark Halle (Saale). This year, the focus is on Eastern Europe: Yuri Andrukhovych, one of Ukraine's leading intellectuals, and the Ukrainian-German author Katya Petrovskaya will not only present their new books, but also talk about the current situation in their home country. In her novel, Moscow-born Katerina Poladyan deals with the Russia of the 1980s, a time of tangible upheaval. Austrian storyteller Norbert Gstrein and poet Uljana Wolf will also be presenting their new books. Illustrator Lucie Göpfert from Halle will also be reading for children aged 4 and over.
The range of topics covered in the books is broad. It's about music, revolution and threat, a commune in Siberia, sibling love and desire, photographs and the stories hidden in them, and it's about poetry as well as life and writing between languages.
