9th Young European Law Scholars Conference 2026

This year’s conference theme „The EU’s Foreign and Security Policy: External Trade and Economic Security” will explore the EU’s strategy to combat new geopolitical tensions and other threats to economic security. Especially events such as the COVID-19 pandemic, Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine and US-President Donald Trump’s current tariff policy put European foreign policy approaches to the test. Against this backdrop, young scholars of EU law and related disciplines will present their current research and innovative ideas for future strategies of the EU in dealing with new geopolitical and technological realities. “Economic Security” as a highly topical issue will build the basis of the academic discourse at YELS 2026.
