Welcome to the Christmas and winter markets in Halle

When the city is bathed in a cozy atmosphere at the most beautiful time of the year, treats for snacking and sipping are never far away. Traditional handicrafts, magical gifts and handmade festive decorations bring a sparkle to hearts and eyes in many places large and small. The two reindeer Finni and Rudi are also excited to see what there is to discover.

Our reindeer Finni & Rudi

Having come to the Saale as a gift from our Finnish twin city Oulu, the little reindeer family now lives in the Goldberg 20 zoo. During Advent, the two reindeer make their grand entrance when their drawn versions accompany us through the Christmas program and the wintry city. They adorn the annual Christmas market mug, which has already become a coveted collector's item, as well as one or two gift items from the hallesaale* store.

Radio play "Finni & Rudi discover Halle"

Throughout the rest of the year, they can also be spotted in the cityscape. Together, the two Finnish cloven-hoofed animals go on a foray through the city on the Saale and experience the many highlights such as the parade at the Lantern Festival, the mountain zoo or the planetarium.

The two of them are currently out and about exploring Halle again and discovering numerous sights in 12 episodes of the new radio play series.
