A discovery for anyone with a taste for down-to-earth cuisine and other good things in life: slip through the alleyway at Bernburger Straße 14 and the Haus & Hof will reward your curiosity. On two levels, magnificent chandeliers set Halle's art and dishes from all over the world in a radiant blaze of light: snacks ranging from Kaisersülze and Karlsbader Schnitte to Italian focaccia, fresh salads and pasta are served, supplemented by seasonally changing soups and main courses. Breakfast is also served at the weekend. With eggs, waffles, muesli, sausage, cheese and salmon, also mixed or for two.
