WUK Theater Quartier
Contemporary theatre and production house
The WUK Theater Quartier is Halle's newest venue for professional independent theatre. It is run in the former Kurt Wabbel cultural centre by the association "Werkstätten und Kultur Halle (Saale)". Since the venue opened in 2017, the theatre has been constantly focusing on new themes. To this end, it develops its own productions, organises workshops and invites guest performances. The WUK Theatre Quartier has a large outdoor area with various venues. In 2021, the WUK Theatre Ship, a former passenger ship, was added as a venue. Under the name "KLUB MELANCHOLIA", it is a venue for music and dance performances, theatre productions and readings.
