Krug zum grünen Kranze
A popular destination not only in summer: as early as the 19th century, the Krug zum grünen Kranze welcomed travellers, nature lovers and artists such as Joseph Freiherr von Eichendorff to its garden restaurant. With its chestnut roofs and picturesque view of the Saale, riverbank and castle ruins, it still offers an idyllic setting for savouring home-style cooking today. Home-marinated salmon, beef tartare, veal escalope and ox cheeks or vegetarian dishes are served - complemented by seasonal specialities. When it gets cooler outside, the landlord invites you into his stucco-decorated ceremonial hall with window gallery and fireplace.
